Cortex Companion
Control your Windows PC from your phone over a private, encrypted link, with no cloud in between.
- Works on
- Android, Windows
- Released
- October 2026
- Made by
- Bihanga Nimhan
Cortex Companion turns your Android phone into a remote for your Windows PC. Lock, sleep, restart, shut down or wake the PC, watch live CPU, memory, disk, network and battery stats, and mirror the screen with trackpad-style control, all from your phone.
Chain actions into routines, like opening your IDE and browser with one tap. Ask the voice assistant how your PC is doing, or check its webcam feed from another room.
It's private by design. Phone and PC talk directly over your own Wi-Fi with TLS 1.3 and certificate pinning, and there's no server or cloud relay. Every new device and every routine change has to be approved on the PC, pairing tokens are encrypted with Windows' Data Protection API, and a lost phone can be revoked instantly.
The apps will only be distributed through Google Play and the Microsoft Store.
Status: in active development, not yet released.
